Water drips from stained walls
the smell of black mold eating it away
lights flicker in the other room but are snuffed out
the room folds into shades of gray and black
ink covered pages lay upon the floor
scattered
torn
a mirror hangs askew on the wall
tainted with memories of faces
faces of the past
with broken souls
the water soaks down to the floor
covering the worn rug that lays on it
down through the dark wood
to the ceiling of the apartment beloW

- Description: A poem I wrote for school, it's free verse. Thought I'd submit it, comments welcome, I'd like to see what you think of it. And I like constructive criticism. Oh and my original idea for it was blood instead of water, but my goal this year is not to be sent to the guidance office, so if I get time I'll rewrite it with the blood.
