never forget the line that seperates us
the one thing that defines our sorrow
for we lust not for our contours
and hide from our tomorrow
embrace the fate that lies in wake
that sells ourselves short
caue it burns to think
that this is no court
another breathe not better than the others
could this be our sin
this lust for one another
a secret from brother to brother
this could be our strength
our duck and cover
quick, kill a crow but never shoot the eagle
its faced the same pain
and flies the same
not needing its cane
though were all fame
there's no way we're the same
kiss me, kill me
this we'll never tame
another quiver shocks them all
a tremor frightens
easing the fall
as we crawl
up onto our feet
up against this wall

- I like the simplicity of the words yet the deepness of the meaning. The imagery of the birds is very cool; it's not everyday we see that kind of metaphor. and even then it's a small amount of people who know what it's about. Best poem I've read today, congrats! 5/5
