Sweet choking Humidity
Cicadas live, change, die.
Flowers in root-beer bottles.
Blue carpet, little trinkets.
Tears, black clothes, stone hills.
Freshly cut grass, crowded garage.
Stone shaped like a heart. Shed, and mosquitoes.
Family talking, writing sharing
someone else's life.
Chicken-fried steak, songs in the car.
People pretending not to cry.
The sweet sinful cookies, and his cold hands.
They took a piece of everyone with them.
Shining eyes try to watch T.V
in an old hotel.
Baking biscuits and eggs
Stories of war.
Obituary.
Death.
Coffin.
Sad.
ah.

- Title: Texas Funeral.
- Artist: TonTon224
- Description: I've been meaning to write something about my papa who passed away, died, two years ago. I don't think anyone knows that I still really miss him. This poem was about my trip to Texas for the funeral. We just sold his house last year and I'll never get to see it again.
