seeds taken and planted
roots in the ground take hold
loving tender care their granted
petals wither in the cold

the petals have been scared forever by the chill that fell upon them
the petals remain forever blue
dew glistens upon the petals appearing a gem
the single flower a saphire hue

a single rose delivered to my door
in the moon's light i hold it higher
its a shade iv never seen before
the icy flower ignites a blaze out of my hearts gentle fire.
