I Search the books
And find the painting
Left inside
Left inside
Causing my own demise
Memories pass before my eyes
Causing my own demise
A life I’d known
So long ago
Where Love had existed
And generously so
Laughter echoes through the trees
Marriage proposed on a lover’s breeze
Tears that dropped her to her knees
A promise that forever we’ll be
I’d hidden inside
That Loving life
I’d hidden your eyes
And caused my own demise
A life I’d known
Left me guilty and prone
Spoiled me
Then left me alone
A grave
A name
A wish we’d made
Promises of forever
Have faded away
Laughter echoes through the trees
Lovers taken away on a breeze
Tears that dropped me to my knees
Promises break as she was freed
I search the home
And find the paintings
Left inside
Left inside
Cause my own demise
Memories before my eyes
Cause my own demise
Tears that drop me to my knees
As Laughter slowly teases me
Memories I’d locked inside
Cause my own demise
The promises we made
Are gently ebbing away
AS I visit the stone
So vulnerable
So prone
A grave
A name
A wish we’d made
Promises of forever
Slowly Fade away
Lost inside
The sadness in your eyes
The memories I’d hide
Cause my own demise
Promises echo through the trees
Ghostly laughter in the breeze
Legends tell of the lovers freed
Death allows promises to keep
A grave
A name
A wish they’d made
Promises of forever
Connecting their fate

- Title: My Own Demise
- Artist: Mistress-Amethyst
- Description: Started off as a song, ended as more of a poem.. Idk/ It's about a man and a woman who fell in love. The woman died and left the man alone. HE tries to forget about her, though things such as pictures keep bringing her back into his memory. In the end, he dies as well, and his grave is dug beside hers. Legends are then told of the couple haunting the place they fell in love at.
