I refuse to sit here and contemplate what is missing from my life
For it is not my life in which it is missing from
It has left my heart sedated and somber since the day I let it slip away
It has forsaken me and left me here to languish in its desolate absence
The only recollection I have left is memories in which I cannot force myself to forget
The soft, subtle voice that once woke me at morning tide
Each flashback digs me back down into the deep depressing hole I call my life
I am unsure if I will ever be able to climb my way up into the radiance of rejoicing
I am a jailbird in my own mentality and mistakes
I have failed you as a person, as a lover, my dearest companion

- Title: The Jailbird
- Artist: WeAreAllThieves
- Description: One day, I was told that my life was nothing more than the life of a bug. That I was worthless and needed to do something useful with my life. I remembered a person that once meant a lot to me. And I went home, to write this.
