A heart is full
When it is born
Though through it's life
It's shattered and torn
Taken away from happy and bright
Brought into the deadly fight
Life and love are all it knows
The most painful parts are how it grows
It is cut, it is beat
IT is caught, it is freed
Many a break will it suffer
Switching its love from one to another
feeling down in times of sorrow
Constantly hoping for tomorrow
LEft for dead and taken for life
Sadness and worry, happiness and light
It knows not the difference
Of a man nor a girl
It knows but love and pain in the world
It heals itself, though prides it's scars
Constantly wishing on shooting stars
You may believe you are alone
But your heart itself is always prone
To the violence and the pain
Never fully healed again
A heart is full
when it is born
Throughout your life
It's shattered and torn
Sticking with you in times of sorrow
Faithfully looking toward tomorrow
Trust your heart
It is your soul
Let it play its healthy role
It will cycle through the days
Sometimes fine, sometimes in pain

I would say boy or girl. It show more of the indifference to gender because when I hear man and girl, it's either a dad and daughter or something really strange (if you catch my drift). Otherwise, beautiful. smile

- The entire piece flows beautifully and its dripping and bleeding with emotion, which in my eyes is the mark of a brilliant piece. biggrin
