• So began the normal day:
Checking in with friends from far away.
And with that glance, you caught my eye.
A face so beautiful, it made the angels cry.
It was with that gorgeous look,
That I fell in love with you on FaceBook.

Your hair so dark, your skin, light,
I couldn’t let you out of my sight.
With your age of one-hundred thirty-three,
I knew what others could not see:
An undead lover to call my own
Was not too far away from home.

And so, I sent you a note.
“hi dis iz klaora and i hope
dat u reed dis. i reely like
u and i meen like like.
i red ur profile and u seem fine.
we shood reely hang out somtime.”

I was fully excited with glee
    When you answered back promptly.
“Sure thing, but just let me know
When your parents are not home.
Or just let me sneak in tonight,
    So that we may…”cuddle” tight.”

I sent him a map with my address
And unlocked my back door before I went to rest.
I could not wait to finally see
You for the first time, in all of your glory.
It wasn’t long before I heard the latch
Of the door behind the house catch.

I heard you creaking up the stairs.
You were light on your feet, taking care
    Not to wake my parents,
    As they were rather dense
To a girl in love with the dead,
Who always wanted one in her bed.

    Because they never read Twilight
And thought she was up to satanic things in the middle of the night.
Which, for once, happened to be the case,
Though I didn’t care once I saw his pallid face.
And I finally got to ask you: “What is your name?”
You leaned in close to my ear and uttered, “Brraaaaiiinnss….”
