She stood sound in the velvet moonlight,
Her scarlet dress flowing in the wind.
Soon her sorrow will end its’ flight,
And she will be released.
She stood so quietly by the lake,
Staring at the velvet moonlight.
Her skin shone pale upon the dark lake,
And she held onto her life with all her might.
A man came out of the woodland forest,
Her scarlet dress was still flowing.
The man held a rose, a gun in his vest,
And in her eyes he sought that sorrowful twinkle.
Silently she lay upon a mahogany bed,
Under the moonlight theft.
Out came a bullet strait to her head,
And all her sorrow had finally left.
With the rose in her hand,
Her scarlet dress now stilled.
She laid with her hair- a scarlet band,
Flowing as it willed.
The man, her love, who released her from her undying hell,
Joined her upon her mahogany grave.
With a bullet that smelled of sulfur,
He joined her upon her mahogany grave, so brave…
For he could not let her go.

- Really, really great. But....spelling mistakes. They drive me nuts. 3rd line of the second stanza....pail should be "pale". And 3rd line fourth stanza, strait should be straight. I'm not sure if you knew this or not, but it was sure to drive me crazy if I didn't say something. I hope I didn't insult you or your poem or anything lke that. xD
