I pick up the phone and start to dial
I'm too naive to know that I am in denial
Until the phone rings
And all those things
You told me when we used to sing
Sound out in the tone
that we recorded
It's wrong but I laugh and say
'I hope I see you later today'
I slam the phone down
Feelin' like a clown
So my sorrows begin to drown
In that bottle we saved
for all those long summer days
I know it's dumb but I saw you yesterday
Walking down the road, my way
I waved to you
Smilin' like I do
But you disappeared into?
I wish I wasn't drinking
But I have no choice
I want to hear your voice!
La la la la
Your favourite song
Been playin' it all night long
Hoping you can hear
Though your far from here
It makes me feel you're near
I know I gotta get over this
So I'll try to quit my habit
I can't make any promises
But I can say this
It's gonna be you I always miss

A song I wrote for a recently deceased friend. Please be kind...AND COMMENT.
It makes little sense unless you try to see the story within. - Date: 05/24/2010
