When they are lying dead gassed,
Face down in the grass,
When the grief so unsurpassed,
What turned the first to last,
How do you react,
To the kids in the past?
The living nostalgia of then,
The blood from the skin,
The wonder of the when,
So why do we say Amen,
Over and Over again,
Who is there to say we can,
And that we aren't the disease called men?
Ask the questions that hurt,
The ones from the dirt,
That makes us alert,
To the world of the converts,
Of the rich and perverts,
The ones who like the skirts,
No shirts, inert, inverts,
Sons of disconcert,
Just look at this and think,
Don't let yourself blink,
Or you'll miss the last link,
That makes it all sync,
We need the love and peace,
Yeah those hippies of jeans,
That should never cease,
So just shut up and be nice,
Or piece by piece
Your burden will increase
