• I am submersed in the chilling blue water.
    It nips at my skin .
    Like a million needles piecering me.
    Endless pricks of a pin.

    After a few moments of cold despair I adjust.
    The water and I are as one .
    I flow through the water like a ripple.
    Like I know not of the sun.

    My eyes open and I blow out the remainder of my air.
    It bubbles around me.
    Silently bobbing to the surface.
    Like it is finally free.

    There is beauty surrounding .
    Vibrant colours , odd shapes too.
    A rainbow to your eyes.
    As everything swarms around you.

    I know I don't have long left.
    My lungs cry in protest and start to fuss.
    They lack what they need.
    For it is far above us.

    My legs jerk.
    They swarm to the warm light above.
    My lungs yurning for the everlasting supply of air.
    As if never again they'll love.

    I break the surface.
    Sending water in tiny waves around me.
    Relaxing and taking deep breaths.
    Back to what I always see.
