I hurt, eyes hurt, I start to cry
goodbye little baby, goodbye
my heart black indeed
much like the night sky
goodbye little baby, goodbye
and still I wonder, and still I dream,
goodbye little baby, goodbye
am I the monster I think I seem?
goodbye little baby, goodbye.
would you have looked like me?
or more like him?
a juxtaposition of both?
with my rope-burned wrists
and his souless eyes
goodbye, little baby, goodbye.
would you have like me?
and I like you?
as a mother and child should?
or when I said "I love you"
would I have to lie?
goodbye little baby, goodbye.
what would you have been?
should I even care?
you're gone, vanished. i know not where
little babies go once they die
goodbye, little baby, goodbye.
I hurt, eyes hurt
I start to cry
to salvage my life,
another's must die.
and I know, 'till my death
I shall wonder why
I hadn't been stronger,
or smarter, or sly
goodbye little baby, goodbye.
