The flowers asked the ocean
"How do you shimmer so?"
The ocean replied lazily
"ask the Sun. He'll know"
The flowers turn their heads up high
and asked the sun the same
The sun just smiled and told them
"I have no time for games
Dont bother me, you little flowers
let me go about my day
the moon knows more about the ocean
than I could ever say"
So the flowers waited til the night
and quentioned to the moon:
"Do YOU know how the oceans shimmers?"
and the moon replied quite soon:
"I do know how the ocean shimmers.
It takes it's light from me.
And I get my light from the sun
for there is none as bright as he"
So the flowers asked the moon
if they too could share the light
the moon said she would consider it
and to ask her tomorrow night
A day went by and the flowers waited
until the moon returned
they asked the moon what she decided
and she expressed concern
"You flowers have your petals," She said
"They make you pretty and bright.
To give you even more beauty
Simply wouldn't be right.
How unfair to all the rest
If you get to share my light
The Ocean needs it more than you,
so I bid you all 'goodnight.'"
