Petals sharp as thorns,
That create a beautiful flower,
Thorns soft as petals,
That can bathe your hand in a blood shower.
It represents love,
With it's bright, vibrant colors,
It represents hate,
With it's dark, dull colors.
You give them to your loved one,
To show them that you care,
They represent the beauty of the world,
And the hate we know it must share.
You must always be wary,
For even while as seems well,
It's when you least expect it,
That evil breaks through it's shell.
The world is a mystical place,
With only one who represents it,
The true meaning of the rose,
Is the whole world wrapped up in it.

- Title: The True Meaning Of The Rose
- Artist: nikkilicious13
- Description: Hello. This is my first entry so please comment and tell me what you think! I wrote this poem a couple days ago in class. I made a drawing to go along with it... But it's not very good so I won't post it. Anyway, it's not exactly about a rose, it's about how humanity can be good and bad. We have our horrible faults, and our breathtaking, um, non-faults! The last two lines pretty much sum that up though! Hope you like it. ^_^
