Enchantress that resides
of ivory and rose,
beneath your sea of green,
what secrets you enclose,
with beautiful lock
and beautiful key.
What is it you see,
beyond the body of "we"?
Behind your face of snow
and rose dusted cheeks
within that world you lie
forgetting of the hour
what color is your sky?
tell us of your power.
You bid our world with your goodbye,
and gently krept into another.
Why not sing of your triumph?
Or is this triumph too fantastic?
Your distant stare forces wonder,
yet your face insists of dream.
Dream of the secrets you'll never tell,
yet we ponder all the same.
so sleep in your secret fields of violet,
beneath your disappearing sea of green.
