They constantly slip my grasp
Ever sliding off my tongue
They never truly explain their meaning
Always open to cause more pain
Ever eluding me
Never quite right for the moment
Why do the words escape me?
Take my breath away
Drown me in silence
Three simple words do so much damage
But how I must ask
They should bring joy
These specific words are scary
Simple to say yet so devastating
Three simple words
I love you

Wow, this is really good. I'm sure anyone who's ever said "I love you" has felt this way, at least to an extent, so it's very easy to relate. It has a nice flow and I love the word usage. Good job smile
