I met her a long time ago,
and from that day,
she clung to my arm,
And didn't let go.
We were always really close,
Even when we turned seperate ways,
We still stood side by side,
Always there to return to.
I relyed on her selfishly,
Using her to express my thoughts,
my feelings, my pain;
it felt like I needed her.
But then Heaven cast judgement,
on our unusual pairing,
keeping us apart forever,
maybe it was better that way.
It was surreal at first,
but now I understand,
she can no longer hurt me; no▬
I will no longer hurt myself.

- Title: My Good Old Friend
- Artist: Nycholas Flamel
- Description: This poem serves as a double-edged blade for me because I personally interpret it in two vastly different ways. But the true decision is the reader's alone. I hope you enjoy it!
