I am not hungry
any more.
So why
do you keep feeding me
these pale,
wretched creatures
who scream
and writhe
and wail
when I burn
the flesh
from their bones?
Why
do you keep feeding me
their children
who will never know
the world,
only me?
I am God's shadow;
an angel
whose black wings seep
from the dark castle's tower.
I am a vibrant angel;
an evil angel.
I carry you
to heaven high
then return to my home
to devour
those pale,
wretched creatures.
I am God's shadow;
a demon
who dances with fiery glee
through Hell.
I am a caustic demon;
a hungry demon,
but
I am not hungry
any more.
