Everyday she can feel everyone's eyes
Their discreet glances
Looking at her.
She asks herself if they are just illusions
Or if she's just paranoid
But at the same time she doesn't want to know
Because she's afraid to look back.
I can't tell what she's thinking
No one can
But no one ever tries to.
They're all caught up with their own problems
Inside their own little bubbles
All they do is compare her to themselves
But when does anyone ever think
"She must be sad"?
When does anyone ever approach her
And treat her as if
She was like everyone else?
"She's probably just another emo girl
who cuts herself
and has stupid problems
that aren't such a big deal.
I'm probably sadder than she is.
Why should I approach her?
She won't understand me."
All of you keep thinking that
Even though you aren't showing it
But how would you know who she is?
How would you know everything she does
For others
Even though she should help herself?
ALL OF YOU
have NO right
to say
"She won't understand"
Because you're the ones
who won't understand.
I'm sick of all you
Self-absorbed people
Who think that you're sadder
Than everyone else
But when have you looked at her
And thought
"She's so sad"?!
When have ANY OF YOU
Looked at her
And realized her smile
Was bullshit
Just because she wants to hide
Her real self
From people like you?
If that girl over there
Disappears one day,
Secretly,
Silently,
"What a tragedy.."
Is what you'll think
But you won't realize
That you were one of the people
Who chose not to understand her
...Just because she seemed like every other emo person.
It's sad
Because no one will ever realize that themselves.
No one will tell them either
So you'll never know
That perhaps,
You actually murdered someone
Blindly.
So all of you
Can go think about yourselves
Your rights your wrongs
But when all of you
Treat yourselves as if you're the saddest person around
And treat her like her problems don't compare at all
And treat her like she's invisible
One day she will be
And deep down
It will be
all
our
fault
And there will be
no one
else
to blame.
