Many years have passed, my white lord,
since I gave up
diving down rabbit holes
and chasing for smiling cats,
having never ending chats
with a mad hatter, a hare and a mouse.
But I wanted to tell you how much
I wish to attend to your call
when you come from my wonderland of old,
calling my name out, so clear and loud
wanting to live again those days of gold.
But those golden afternoons, are never to return
for now I’m nothing but another child grown old.
No more tea cups with a mad hater, a hare and a mouse,
no more riddles and rhymes
looking up for the Cheshire cat
no more smoke rings and verses
standing in front the caterpillar, so wise.
Still, you were the one I followed,
till the end of the road
entering he Heart’s Queen grounds
an innocent match, of crocket we played,
so mean so vile, the queen set me a trap
off with her head she yelled
when the golden afternoon became silver nigh
and off with my head they went,
no more innocence,
no more talking flowers,
the smiling cats and white rabbits fade away,
the tea cups and tea pots broke,
as well as the mad hatter the hare and the mouse,
no more Wonderland I fear,
as I grew old,
there’s nothing left, no mater how hard I try,
nothing but a shattered looking glass
A broken cup of tea
and your small white gloves,
a bit of toadstool
and the Duchesses Knitted scarf
a picture in my mind of my favorite cat
and a 3 of hearts,
That’s what I hold dear form my beloved Wonderland.
But still, no matter if i keep growing old,
i still keep a piece of that shattered looking glass…

Description:
Written while remembering my childhood
when every little thing used to amuse us,
when we where surprised by just staring at a butterfly,
when we used to laugh not caring what others will think,
when there was no malice in our hearts,
when we didn't know the meaning of evil, or pain.
i just miss that age,
the age when we lived in our happy Wonderland. - Date: 02/07/2010

- How can nobody have commented on this masterpiece?!?! eek Your writing skills are phenomenal! You blew my mind, sitting here quietly at my desk, musing over every word and conjuring a mental picture to go with it as I slowly explored the book all over again through your words. You,Sir/Madame,are a genius! 5/5 heart
