The earth goes wild,
Taking life.
Tearing mother from child
And husband from wife.
The earth splits,
Things are unwound.
It reaches its limits
And tears everything down.
The earth explodes
Without warning.
It takes all they know
And leaves them in mourning.
The earth shakes,
Bringing fear.
Everything breaks,
And leaves nothing but tears.
The earth shudders;
Things happen fast.
Sisters clutch brothers
And they all scream their last.
The earth crumbles,
A strange thing occurs:
We see all their troubles
And bring together the world.
The earth falls to pieces
During the quake,
Yet the world is at peace
And this is what it takes.

Description:
In case you didn't figure it out, this poem is about the tragedy in Haiti.
I hope you are all doing your part in helping them, whether you are sending money or supplies or simply including them in your prayers.
The world is together in peace until this all ends, so let's make it last. - Date: 01/25/2010
