The Good in Her
Yesterday she came
To this world so great
From a mother’s womb
Destined by fickle fate
Referred to as
One of life’s wonder
Foretold that she
Would triumph yonder.
With hair so fine
Locks of a lustrous black
The skin of a silver goddess
Embraced in a frosty act
Her refined visage
Touched by May’s early sun
Would be sought after
Unmistakably by everyone.
As the years proceeded
She took her evident rule
As crème de la crème
Of men who bowed like mules
Chatelaine of the town
Kept humble by her mother
But as the parent departed
Her modesty started to shatter.
Worshipped by males
Ever so longed
Then she gave herself to men
Unaware of being wronged
Frequently she was visited
Sometimes she even went
To manors of wealthy fellows
As their petty entertainment.
Again and again
She was violated
Ridden of dignity
Ethically humiliated
Times have passed by
And she too had been passed
Through hands of different men
In who knew how fast.
Then one lone night
After moments of pleasure
Beside a sleeping young man
She began to murmur:
“I have sinned
I’ve been wicked
I have given men
What they wanted
Even I have reveled in
This physical ecstasy
But until now I couldn’t bear
Any more of this debauchery
Oh, Father! I do
Ask for your forgiveness
That I may surpass
This crushing weakness
I shall renew my faith
And I put it unto you
I will revive the child
That my dear mother has given birth to.”
Then she burst into
Tears of regret
Upon leaving the house
Where she had last covet.
She ran through the cobbled streets
Guided by the evening’s moonlight
Towards the end of town
There she laid her sights
Finally she came up to
A crumbling house of stone
Heading out to its gardens
A cluster of fireflies shone.
She tripped over a rock and fell
Into a pool of water
The deep pond where as a child
She played nearby with laughter
The water paralyzed her
Enclosing over like a sheath
Struggling against the dark grips
She had her last breath.
At that very moment
She thought only of her mother
Who knew that it was just death
That could bring out the good in her.

Description:
It's funny how we want to live life to the fullest and do the things we want the most when we know it isn't what we actually want, or need. As simple as this may be, it would display something that we've all been doing, and hopefully, it would open our eyes to the real world.
