Mornings
waking next to you in a
hotel room
choking on the fumes from our
breath combined
searching for my shirt in vain
and leaving with your wallet.
It's beautiful
the irony contained in this
morning after
knowing how you swore a
year ago
that I would never be good enough
to be with you.
But now we're seeing the truth:
___(blank, unconcieved lines)
But I'm dragging you down with me
I'm nobody.
You are trapped and I am free
In my wake, I'll leave you pining;
You'll only think of me.
You meant the world to me.

- Very good. I don't have to have the song in my head to see good writing. You illustrate a moment wonderfully.
