The man walked down the trail late one night,
He met with the love of his life;
Oh, and she was such a sight,
“My love, why are you doing this to me?”
The stars above them were so bright,
His dream was to make her his wife;
Her blue eyes shone in the light,
“My love, why are you doing this to me?”
Being with her was such a delight,
Behind her back she hid a knife,
This would be their final fight;
“My love, why are you doing this to me?”
Would this be his final night?
Could he say good-bye to his life?
When the knife came into sight;
“My love, why are you doing this to me?”
The man began to fill with fright,
As she began to swing with the knife,
The man’s hollow scream fill the night;
“My love, why are you doing this to me?”
“Why do you betray me on this dreadful night?”
She replied “You have ruined my life.”
She swung again, this would be the final fight;
“My love, why are you doing this to me?”
The man began to lose his sight,
His last view would be the love of his life;
She looked at the blood, oh it was such a sight;
“My love, why are you doing this to me?”
She smiled, this is a glorious night;
Behind her back was the bloody knife;
She stepped back and was hidden by the night;
“My love, why are you doing this to me?”
She had won this final fight,
She would gain back her life;
She walked down the trail on that dark night.
“My love, why are you doing this to me?”
He had lost a lot that night,
He would not die by that dreadful knife
He would get her back soon if not tonight.
“My love, why are you doing this to me?”
