• I hear someone crying
    Who is that crying? I wonder...
    I hear it again...
    The sound of sadness...
    I feel the sadness and different emotions combined
    But it was mostly sadness...why?
    I hear it clearer....
    It was a girl crying

    Then I see her…
    Just seeing her in the corner crying and crying...
    I want to go and comfort her...
    But my legs won't let me go to her
    Sadness is all I hear and I feel so sad for her...as my own tears fall
    I wanted to ask her…why are you crying?
    But my mouth wouldn't just open to say my thoughts...
    What was wrong with me...I thought

    Then I woke up
    It was just a dream
    But I'd remember the girl crying in the corner in my dream so vividly
    My tears fall and I start to cry...
    Crying was all that I could do...
    Just crying helplessly...
    I fell asleep again but the dream came back

    The girl stopped crying yet still had the same sorrowful eyes I’d seen from my last dream...
    What was it that made her cry? My thoughts questioned
    The girl looked directly at me and spoke…
    "I'm crying because my heart hurts...It isn't pain from a broken heart, but a heart that doesn't know what to do next..."

    I stare in shock
    The girl continued…
    "I've been though lots of sadness which I’ve kept inside me for a long time...I don't want to grow up too fast into an adult..."
    I spoke…
    "Why are saying that?"
    She said…
    "I-I told you…”
    Tears welled up in her eyes…

    “I don't want to grow up too fast...I want everything to slow down..."
    Then I realized who she was...
    It was me when I was just 14
    I didn't recognize her from the first time aside from her white silvery hair which made her look like a magical creature...

    I ask...
    "Who are you?"
    She quietly replied...
    "I'm someone you made when you were born..."
    I questioned her again...
    "Who are you?"
    She says back...
    "I'm your heart, I'm your true feelings...I'm you!"

    My eyes blur and my voice broke in disbelief as I asked her...
    "Did I do this to you?"
    She said quietly...
    "I don't know" and disappeared out of my sight I cry in the darkness alone...
    Hearing my own sadness...
