-
As the sun sets I capture its light,
Saving it to last a dark cold night.
As a mist I roll in,
And solidify,
That hint of sunset a distant memory,
Glinting from deep within.
I am now close to my end,
The sunset a distant memory,
Nearly forgotten.
As I sorrowfully collapse to a mist,
I spread and hug the earth,
In my despair I have nearly lost hope,
Until my salvation the sun shines through me.
At sunset I am but a ghost,
At sunrise my role is large,
As the glorious morning mist.
I sleep for the day,
And await the sunset,
Where I haunt the sun,
For gossamer be my name.
