The sun rises up over the hill tops
It's beams shine through an open window
An all but empty house
A little girl tosses and turns her back on the light
Her eyes blink open
Sitting up she sheilds her eyes
Gasping she hurries out of bed and runs down the winding staircase
Running into the kitchen she smiles
Soon it fades into a disapointed frown
She was alone for another day
Knowing her parents were long gone, never to return, she shook it off
Acting like they were still there, she walked over to the fridge
Simply muttering an incoherent "good morning"
After grabbing a glass of milk she went back to her room
Quickly she got ready for school
"They'll come home soon, I know it."She said packing her lunch
Mumbling a farewell she went out the front door
No one knew this was her everyday routine
For she was just another abandoned child
In this beautifully horrid place
One which we all call home

- Title: Empty Hope
- Artist: Your Own Personal Hell
- Description: This is a poem about an abandoned little girl that lives all alone in an empty house. I know it's very sad, but this thing happens everyday in our lives. We are all just too blind to pay any attention to it.
