-
Drenched in loss and sorrow,
My wings are here to spread,
Wait until I fly to heaven,
Or wait until I fall down dead.
Those four grey walls that surround me,
Have fallen down since you came,
And the loss of my mask,
Is to you I blame.
These open doors that lead to others shut,
And the problems that put us in a rut.
The cuts on my wrists have dried and healed.
But for the one whom I love,
I shall keep my lips sealed.
To all, this world's a lonely place.
And there is no humble reason to keep
describing it as a race. <3
