Mirror Mirror on the wall,
I looked into the mirror,
and saw a stranger staring back at me.
Her eyes, her nose, her clothes,
her tired smile,
they all seemed too familiar.
I blinked, she did the same.
I reached out my hand to touch her.
But all I touched was cold, hard glass.
So, it was just a reflection.
She looked so much like me,
she could have been me.
She was so real, yet, FAKE.
Who's the bravest of them all?

- I feel as if it could use more literary elements, like imagery or metaphors. And it looks like you changed perspective for a moment in the second stanza. You weren't from first to third then back to first. And again in the last two. Nice try though

- I wrote something similar to this and I understand it. We look in the mirror to see what we imagine is us but in what capacity is that image us at all. Looking inside is where we find out greatest strength.

I'd have too say quite a few friends who've graduated from High School feel the same way. They don't have too fake who they are anymore, and it's a real release for them. In this poem you embodied the life of so many High-Schoolers, and some even beyond that. ^^
So yus, I liked it. - Report As Spam

Mirrors are quite the common topic in poetry. I wrote one about them, myself. Don't have it any more, but hey.
Regardless, great job on this. The way I'm reading it, the mirror is just like you, but the mirror is fake... So you must feel you are the same. Everyone has felt this way at some point, in a world over-run by duplicates... Duplicates that manage to influence everyone into being like them. Spreads like a virus, I'm afraid. There's nothing that's original any more. - Report As Spam
