• Summer summer oh it's so very hot
    To be free and outside can be so fun
    You will never forget what you have got
    To just feel the warmth of the mid day sun
    It is a time to start some cool new trends
    To go out at night and get some ice cream
    You also get to hang out with your friends
    And to run around to laugh and to scream
    Summer is a time where you can go swim
    And stay up late because there is no school
    It's also a time to try to get slim
    But all people do is try to stay cool
    I just can't wait until this new summer
    But when it is gone it will be a bummer
