I never asked to love you
But life seems to have a way of breaking hearts
And your smile it wounds me the most
Because I know that I can never have you
Each day that I walk by
Say "hello" in the hall
Do you know the war inside my soul
That's tearing me apart?
I never asked to find the one
When my one can only break me down
I don't want to blame you for my open wounds
For the blood seeping to hollow grounds
Why is it so hard to love you?
And so hard to let you go?
Tell me, my one and only...
Knowing that I love you so
Is it wrong to hate you
When I never asked to love you?
