The western wind blows strong tonight,
the western wind blows strong.
The western wind does fill the air
with its icy song.
Once Zephyr, gentle, ruled the west,
but now that he is gone,
a newer crueler wind is here,
and now that wind blows strong.
The eastern sun burns hot today,
the eastern sun burns hot.
The eastern sun does scorch the earth,
and relents it not.
Once stately Phoebus ruled the sky,
but he is left to rot,
and now a new orb sits above
and this new sun burns hot.
The river red flows fast tonight,
the river red flows fast.
The river carries broken loads
and quickly pulls them past.
Once lazy Alpheus lingered here,
but now his reign is past.
A newer suitor takes his place,
and this new stream flows fast.
The very earth does quake today,
the very earth does quake.
The very earth is angered now,
and in its rage does shake.
Once sturdy Atlas held the earth,
but even Titans break.
The earth now rests in crueler hands,
and these new hands do quake.
But still the night will fall, my child,
still the night will fall.
Mother Nyx still watches us,
and folds us in her pall
of darkness, stars, and sleep, my dear,
and soon we mortals all
will one day meet with Thanatos,
and death’s last night will fall.

that's just one incredible poem! I can't help it but compare it to the great poets from the past we learnt at school about, like Goethe or Schiller.
Absolutely incredible work! 10/5 - Report As Spam
