To the North, the ice shatters into crystals and freezes all
to the South, the fire burns ever so brightly through the darkness
to the West, the wind shreds through everything
to the East, the earth collides and crushes many
and by the Center, the guardian protects within its bounds.

It's nice, but in a simplistic sorta way, you could have used some really fabulous imagery in depicting the elements.
