• The lonely bird sits alone perched on a branch
    The lonely bird watches the animals play on the ranch

    The lonely bird can only sit and stay
    The lonely bird listens to there laughter
    The lonely bird listens to her sobbing getting softer
    The lonely bird starts to sing her lonely tune
    The lonely bird sings her heart out to the moon

    All the other animals listen and hear
    The most saddening tune and even the horse wipes a tear
    Slowly, the pigs, the sheep, and the horses come too
    They go to the bird and help her do what she must do
    Together they sing, and sing together they did
    There melody was marvelous, they even stopped the heart of little Sid

    After that day the lonely bird wasn't so lonely any more
    Although singing did make her quite sore
    The happy little bird had all the friends she could need
    The happy little bird lived a happy life indeed
