I see you in my dreams. I can smell your wonderful fresh scent in the depth of my arms.
I am filled with hope when you smile and I am shaken when you are anguish.
But, in the dream, you are nothing but an illusion.
Without you, my fantasy becomes a nightmare, dead with hatred, darkness, and grief.
On my knees, I beg for your forgiveness, and plead for your everloving kindness.
Yet you glare at me so coldly, a woman whom I had loved, but is now just a marble face.
I cannot live without the thought of you, the taste of you, and the feelings reserved for you.
I am lost, withering away, and forever there would never be a smile quite like yours.

Description:
I wrote this poem about 3 years ago, and even though it isn't very good, I thought it was interesting because I wrote it through a different perspective.
This poem is the first of my many freestyle poems about unrequited love in the form of a dream. Hope you enjoy. =) - Date: 07/21/2009
