Cutting away the perpetual memories
The truth remains
An enigma to the world this love is candles and moon flowers
Taboo affections dance on tainted tongues
Sin reminiscent of silk
Pleasant against mink skin
In its cold smooth clasp carnal fashions blaze to precarious intensity
As the day perish silent lips convey secret messages
In the forest keep this illegal love endures
But time proved to be the enemy
Exposed the masquerade ends
Scarlet burns on their breast
Their future carved in broken glass
No redemption to mend the ruptured bonds
But
Is it right to judge when on our own breast we bear that same sinful mark?
