Play again
Play your game
I'm the pawn
I'm the dice
I'm the cards
I'm the cost
Roll again
I dare you
My next move
One cut
If you roll a two I'll double it
Do you still want to play
I can see the glint in your eyes
Can you see the gleam of a knife in mine
Pick up a card
What does it say
Oh yes I can see it now
"Jump to the nearest Heartbreak"
I'll grab my knife on the way there
Why do you play such useless games
Why do you toy with my heart
No
Not even
Why do you stab my heart
It's shattered now
But the game's not over yet
Because I'm still the pawn
I'm still the dice
I'm still the cards
And I'm still the cost
But you're still playing

Love the way you go about this poem - very interesting use of gambling and playing games. I'm not usually into angsty stuff, but this was well-written! 5/5
Check out my poems some time, eh? smile - Report As Spam
