-
A wish, a word, sure, goodbye, please,
a person kneeling, on their knees,
not really though, but in a sense,
magnifying silence to intense.
They love you so,
but don't they know,
that you love them not
and thus you are caught
in a circle of lying, false love, and mistakes.
a single word, whispered quietly,
is magnified in intensity
and eventually it reaches an ear
telling it what it dreads to hear.
a flurry of anger, a torrent of tears,
the confirming of dreaded, foreboding, fears,
a scream and a mumble
an emotional tumble
and huge loads of blame, unfairly spread.
"I was hopeless!" says you,
"You lied through and through!"
everyone's hurt, everyone's blamed
and your name is eternally, lastingly shamed.
Your friends turn their backs,
life stops in its tracks,
a whirlpool of hatred,
the malice, a hundred
of flames of sweet love, all sputter and die.
The world is in love
but a black, bat winged dove
has chosen to rest on your shoulder instead,
letting you rest in loneliness' dark bed
shunned, yes, and hated, in the rest of their eyes.
