Many years ago our hearts made a vow,
to never leave eachothers side.
That day you left me standing by the train,
I cried so much but my tears wouldn't show in the rain.
What would it take for you to see,
the pain that was slowly killing me?
Dying inside,
why did I keep these feelings when there was nothing to hide?
Heart pounding harder now,
I wanted to tell you but I just didnt know how.
I stand upon this rock, hoping you'll return safe and sound,
but no matter how much I pray, no hope can be found.
I watch the Eastern sun rise,
but each time I don't see that loving face, a small part of me dies.
Even though I know with each passing day, my chances are fading,
I'll always be here waiting.

- That was beautiful and well written. The title is so pertinent to the poem which gives the work glistening proportions. You write extremly well. Keep it up!!!
