Lords and ladies,
Please give me your ear!
I have a story
That you must hear.
On a hot day
In marry May,
I came across a sight most queer,
Which made me shout
Oh dear!
It was a man nailed to a tree
Who sang,
Fa da la de le!
As he did hang.
What is this I see,
Said he,
Standing before me?
Just a humble bard,
Said I,
And may I ask
Who hung you here to die?
Fa da la de le!
Sang he.
It was the king,
He who made me toil
Like a worm digging in the soil!
Fa da la de di!
But not sad am I.
For this very day
The king did die!
Fa da la de dine!
I feel fine
Cause I poisioned his wine!
So I did ask,
So is that why I find thee
Nailed to a tree?
NO!
He screamed
I'm here because that stupid git
Thought that the poision was pee
Then with a last
Fa da la de le
His soul left his body.
Now my good gentles
I leave you with this advice...
Don't drink the wine
And you'll all be fine!
