• As I lay by the window looking out in the night,
    I saw a man walking by who had lots of might,
    I couldn't imagine what man this would be,
    so being myself, I ran up to him see?
    I said, "Sir would you mind telling me who you are?"
    and then he just simple looked up to the stars
    saying,"I am the one, the only the just
    follow me if you can, follow me if you must."
    His presence overwhelming his voice was so strong
    His words stayed in my head as a throng.
    I knelt at his knees knowing he was the Lord,
    and I said, "Yes oh your holyness, I will remember your word,
    and stay with you always, for if I do not,
    allow me to shatter, allow me to rot."
    But the great king just smiled
    and said to me, "Child
    I could never take your sweet life away,
    for this day,
    is the day you have come to me forever and now,
    and I swear, I would not slaughter you, not like a cow."
    Then he simply disappeared, and I never saw him again.
    For who would want to see his face and die?
