Regretfully, though our failure, we have become our fears, the worst of people.
Their faces changed as did yours.
I watched as your beauty slowly faded to jealousy.
Your faint memory continues to escape my mind but
one frame constantly loops inside my mind...
as your fingers slip from my grip
you drown into the sea of people we once knew
i keep bobbing my head over the water
in the ocean of indifference
the unoriginality clings for my throughts
but i'll win.
