The elephant in the room

• Artist: Apocalyptic Beatdown
• Description: To me, reality is the part of life people avoid the most, the stuff people don't want to deal with or know exists but pretend that its not there. Instead the submerse themselves in t.v., internet, music or some type of escape.They talk with a twisted tongue to hide what's in front of them and when they can't hide from it, that is when they are having a bad day. This poem is just my way of expressing this notion.

You can try to hide
from reality but
somehow it will always find you,
In the
little haven you create
see the truth
in your eyes
and it just might blind you
if a
man can deal
he will
it's true
if a man can't deal
he'll run
he'll shoot
some dudes smoke weed
some make an excuse
is there any wrong
or right when
you're faced with the truth?
Flip on the news
see a family
shot dead
by the father,
couldn't deal
went crazy in the head.
The truth hit him
smack in the
middle of his dome
that reality sucks
and your better off gone...
