You're moving, you told me.
I just didn't see, why you were so glee
To leave us all behind
And start the worst for me.
I told you before that you're my best friend.
Your leaving is going to make my happiness end.
It might sound like much, but it's true!
I just don't know how I'll live my life without you.
Right now I'm hoping that it's all part of some cruel, sick joke,
That was running through your mind and let your idea soak
In an ocean filled with the thought that made it seem okay.
I keep hoping that you just wanted to play
Around in my thoughts and feelings too,
Just so you can see if I care about you.
Well, it worked just to let you know.
I'm worried from head to toe.
Rather it's real or not,
I want to tell you something that requires some thought.
Don't talk, just listen to what I have to say,
"It's going to be hard for me to live another day
Without a friend that I cared about.
Just thinking it, makes me pout.
It has happened to me several times before.
Just think about me and I won't worry anymore."

- Title: A Friend's Departure
- Artist: Skellyscoo
- Description: This poem is about a friend leaving you. I wrote this after one of my friends told me that he was moving away. So, when you hear the line about it being a joke; I thought he wasn't being serious with me. It's ends up that he did move some months after. In the poem, the speaker is talking to their friend. So, that why there's a lot of "I"s and "you"s.
