A year is not so long a time to wait,
Or more—I wouldn't mind to wait for two.
I don't care how the Future will collate;
I'd gladly wait a century for you.
I watch the clock's slow hands, and fall asleep,
Another night, another futile dream.
And though it's just a fantasy, I keep
the memories close—I cherish every scene.
A tender scene of lying at your chest,
A scene of passion, or of simple touch,
To feel you breathing as I fall to rest...
For this, a little wait is not too much.
I love you more than words could dare to place;
I'd die today to see you face-to-face.

Very beautiful.
I suppose this is a poem of long distance relationships?
Very well written, I must admit. - Report As Spam
