• Description: When I was young I got depressed and lost my friends. In 2nd year of high school I became a b***h. Summer I went to a camp where I never talked. But one person kept encouraging me, when we were out one weekend someone did something stupid and I made a joke under my breath, this person heard and laughed. And, silly as it may sound, their smile made me realise If I was mean I would feel bad, and making people laugh made me happy. They literally saved my life by smiling at me!

Abandoned by everyone I knew,
Left alone for anger to brew.
What happened to me, why did they leave,
Smothering darkness, can't seem to breathe.
Hold on tight as nothingness looms
Crashes upon me and turns me to ruins.
Scared and alone in a sky vast with stars
Painfully recalling long ago scars.
I reach out to faith to save me from sin,
But it turns away, doesn't want me to win.
I fall to despair, become twisted and cruel,
If only I knew how I was being a fool.
Taking the light and life of those around,
Letting the fire of hell be my hound.
But one day the light through a smile was shown
And I understood that you reap what is sown.
