I do not love the open sea
Were ships can be destroyed
yet I love its’ melody
strung upon its’ cords
The waves which break upon the beach
And disappear into the sand
the way the sea gulls fly and screech
yet hold themselves so grand
How the children laugh and play
yet never understand
That their beach will be gone some day
by negligence of us man
How the old fishermen talk
With enthusiasm untathered
Of how the sea they all once walked
To find some fish to gather
And at night the crackling fires
all teens have made at once
To find their unspoken desirers
To be cool with friends for once
In the sea a lot has happened
Some small then some grand
But it’s upon the sea's great boarder
is were I make my stand
