Chitter Chatter, Bugs
By: Kit Katy
They chitter and chatter beneath my carpet,
They strike me down with each blow of malice,
My cries are in vain until I rage a deep scarlet,
Each one has disrespect
However, the ruler doesn't appear to give a care
The ruler charges his lonely root
I'm enclosed on the roof
They still chitter and chatter,
They swarm and swing objects at one another,
They mock me and shun my desire,
As we near the end, the ruler asks me a simple question.
That question lingered as I used the toxins.
My hands stained with itching substance
It was a fatal mistake for the ruler and fatal to my health
A day passes, my breath decreases
Such vile illness, I didn't wish for any diseases
A voice tells me of a life line, but it's not decent
A jab here, and my life becomes renewed
However, those emotions gnaw inside me like food
