    Blank and waiting
    Open to anything,
    For the possibilities are
    Endless.
    How about a picture
    Which could be drawn
    In meticulously dull black and white
    Or in a blaze of Technicolor glory,
    Each color embellishing a new idea?
    Or
    Maybe a poem,
    A small, intricate set of words
    Expressing the emotions and
    Feelings of the author.
    And, in a sense,
    Painting their own picture
    With verbs and details?
    Or
    Possibly a short story,
    Which tells of the adventures
    Of a clumsy boy named Jack
    Or the romance
    Of a girl named Sue,
    Each sentence describing the
    Events of another person’s life
    And opening up the doors
    To another world
    To help us escape this one?
    So go head,
    Set your pen to the page
    And let your imagination
    Set you free!
